Bito expands tray system for conveyor technology and automated small parts storage.
Additional Format and Recycling Design
The previous standard portfolio includes Euro trays with base dimensions of 600 × 400 millimeters and 400 × 300 millimeters. The load carriers are designed for loads of up to 50 kilograms and can be used with various shelf servicing devices. For special requirements, Bito-Lagertechnik also develops project trays with individual dimensions and constructive designs.
Since autumn 2026, a recycling variant in the format of 600 × 400 millimeters has also been part of the standard offering. This is also designed for a maximum load of 50 kilograms.
An additional portfolio supplement is the tray in the format of 650 × 450 millimeters. With an internal dimension of 629 × 429 millimeters, it is intended for the accommodation of containers in the Euro format and cartons. The manufacturer offers the additional format with a newly developed hybrid base, which is available in three structurally different variants.
Closed Hybrid Floor for Smooth Running Surfaces
The first hybrid floor version combines a continuously smooth outer running surface with an equally smooth, closed inner surface. This variant eliminates the need for openings and centering ribs.
According to the manufacturer, the design is intended to allow favorable running properties on conveyor systems and in automated warehouses. Due to the closed floor surface, the tray is also less susceptible to dirt and easier to clean.
Centering ribs hold cartons in position
The second version features integrated centering ribs in the hybrid base. These are designed to centrally position and hold cartons within the specified outer contour during transport.
According to Bito-Lagertechnik, the construction can compensate for bulging of cartons by up to 25 millimeters. This is intended to reduce protrusions of the transport goods and prevent collisions with system components.
The variant is thus particularly aimed at automated conveying and storage processes in which cartons with different dimensions or shape deviations are transported.
Liftholes enable automated lifting processes
The third hybrid base version features integrated liftholes. These are openings in the tray base designed for automated lifting and picking processes.
Through these openings, corresponding lifting and picking systems can specifically lift or pick up the tray and its contents. The construction is intended to particularly support use in automated storage and conveying systems with lifting technology and transfer systems.
According to the manufacturer, the lifthole version also has a lower weight than the standard version. The company does not provide specific details on weight reduction in its statement.
Identification via barcode and RFID
For identification within automated material flow systems, the trays can be equipped with barcode or RFID surfaces all around. The labeling is intended to enable the identification of load carriers from different directions of approach.
With the additional formats and base versions, Bito-Lagertechnik expands the possibilities of moving different goods and packaging on uniform transport aids through automated systems. In addition to conveyability, the focus is particularly on load positioning, automatic handling, and integration into existing storage and conveying processes.
