Mobile Robotics: AGV Conference Expands Thematic Focus

The event began with a keynote speech by Prof. Alice Kirchheim, head of the institute at Fraunhofer IML, on innovations in intralogistics. Throughout the day, seven practical specialist lectures, including topics such as "Automation Strategies at Volkswagen" and "Safety and Cyber Security for Mobile Robots," provided insights into automation and standardization. As the core of the afternoon program, Dr. Günter Ullrich, head of the VDI FTS Committee and the Forum-FTS, moderated a panel discussion on the topic "New Opportunities through Standardized Communication and Variety of Suppliers – but how does the Customer Manage the Complex Project Structures?". The event was accompanied by a trade exhibition with 22 exhibitors showcasing the latest state of FTS technology and presenting concrete solutions from leading manufacturers.
