Start of Training at L.I.T.: 41 Young Talents Begin Their Careers
"For 41 young people, a new phase of life begins with us on September 1," says Julian Derst, Head of Training and Development at the L.I.T. Group. The company places importance on personally accompanying the career entrants. "This way, our new colleagues can integrate well with us and quickly take on real responsibility in our teams," says Derst. The concept has proven successful: "We want to develop our young talent from within our own ranks in the long term and offer them attractive professional and personal prospects even after graduation."
To welcome the new class at the headquarters in Brake, the L.I.T. board, together with Nele Grenzebach, Melanie Kalla, and Julian Derst from the training team, welcomed them and gave the newcomers an initial insight into the corporate group. As the introduction progressed, the career starters got to know important structures, contacts, and basics for their daily work.
Excellent Training Concept Starts Again
After that, the content program for the two introductory days began: On the first day, the focus was on personal acquaintance. Trainees from the third year actively shaped the "Welcome Day" and accompanied the new cohort in getting-to-know-you activities and shared insights into the company. On the second day, an IT training session, information about the apprenticeship, and the "Safely Start in Everyday Work Life" training prepare the trainees for the first weeks at L.I.T. After the joint start, the young talents are distributed across 18 of the more than 100 locations of the logistics company. "We receive positive feedback from our trainees about this welcome concept," reports Derst. And not only that: This year, the L.I.T. Group received the "TOP Training 2026" seal for the third consecutive time from the Oldenburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) for its excellent training quality.
Uniform Training Start on September 1st
For the first time, training at all locations of the logistics company will uniformly start on September 1st. This means that from the very first day, all teams in the specialized departments are on site and can provide reliable support to the career newcomers right from the beginning. The mentorship program will continue: each new young professional will be assigned an experienced contact person from a higher training year for the first few months at the training site.
Significantly More Applications for Training Positions
During the 2025/2026 application phase, the response to the training offer increased significantly: from August 2025 to August 2026, the number of applications from Germany doubled compared to the same period the previous year. Currently, a total of 114 future specialists are undergoing training at the L.I.T. Group. According to the company, applications for advertised training positions are still welcome for this year and the next. Depending on the training profession and location, it may also be possible to enter the current cohort. Meanwhile, the application phase for the upcoming training year is already underway.
