The safety laser scanner has a range of ten meters, allowing the securing of larger areas with fewer devices. Thanks to this flexibility, the scanner is ideally suited, according to Datalogic, for palletizing systems, robotic cells, laser cutting machines, woodworking machines, as well as Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) in warehouse and logistics environments. Users benefit from reliable safeguarding of all hazard zones while simultaneously reducing the overall costs of their system.

Added Value Beyond Security

Besides its safety function, the SLS10 also excels in navigation applications. With an angular resolution of up to 0.059 degrees, it provides particularly precise measurement data. The angular resolution describes the minimal distance between two consecutive laser measurement points. The result is significantly higher positional accuracy and improved navigation – particularly for AGVs, AMRs with high payloads, as well as automated forklifts. This opens up additional application possibilities for the SLS10.

Faster Reaction, Less Space Required

According to Datalogic, the "SLS10" achieves a reaction time of 84 milliseconds and is designed for safety distances of over nine meters. This allows the scanner to be installed closer to hazardous areas, provided that the applicable safety regulations are adhered to. Smarter Configuration and Easier Commissioning

Alongside the market launch of the SLS10, Datasensing is also presenting a completely revised user interface of the "DL Sentinel" software based on the new "ONEGUI" platform. This simplifies both the commissioning and the daily management of the system. Users are intended to configure safety zones more easily, monitor master and remote devices simultaneously, and automatically determine the optimal balance between safety distance, reaction time, and environmental conditions with the new “OptimaTune” technology. This shortens commissioning and facilitates the replacement of existing scanners without having to compromise on performance. Selected models also feature position-dependent switching of safety zones via encoder. This patented function allows automatic zone changes without the need for additional sensors.
