Uplift Ventures launches 100 million euro fund for deep-tech startups

Jungheinrich is expanding its activities in the venture capital market. The Hamburg-based company is launching an independently operating fund with a volume of 100 million euros through the venture platform Uplift Ventures, which it founded and financed. According to the company, the investment offer is aimed at European deep-tech founders. The focus is on early-stage startups in the areas of physical artificial intelligence, energy, artificial intelligence for businesses, and logistics.

Investments in Companies and Funds

Uplift Ventures plans to invest capital in high-growth technology companies as well as in selected deep-tech venture capital funds. The investments should not be limited to Europe. According to Jungheinrich, holdings or fund investments in the USA and Asia are also possible.

With this orientation, the intralogistics provider combines direct investments in young technology companies with investments in specialized venture capital funds. Uplift Ventures is to make independent investment decisions while also incorporating the industrial expertise of Jungheinrich.

Fund is Part of the 2030+ Strategy

Jungheinrich integrates the launch of the fund into its 2030+ strategy. With the long-term corporate strategy, the provider aims to expand its existing portfolio and support growth through innovations, new business models, and strategic partnerships.

Through Uplift Ventures, Jungheinrich also wants to expand access to technology fields that are relevant to the future development of the company. At the same time, the platform is intended to enhance collaboration with technology-oriented founding teams and entrepreneurs.

Venture Building since 2025

The new fund expands Uplift Ventures' previous activities. The platform already started with venture building in 2025. This allows Jungheinrich to now complement the development of new business approaches with an independently operating venture capital fund.

With the fund, the company is also expanding its commitment to the European venture capital market. The platform combines collaboration with young technology companies with the development of a partner and innovation network.

Christian Noske takes over fund development

Christian Noske is strengthening Uplift Ventures as General Partner and will be responsible for the development of the venture capital fund in the future. According to Jungheinrich, he has more than ten years of experience with investments in deep-tech companies in Europe, the USA, and China.

Before his transition, Noske was responsible for the European investments of NGP Capital. In addition, he was a founding partner at BMW i Ventures as well as at Alliance Ventures, the venture capital arm of the Alliance Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi. Throughout his previous career, he has financed more than 40 companies. The investments have included robotics, energy, space technology, autonomous driving, industrial manufacturing, and logistics.
