EDAG Group Appoints Florian Freund as Executive Vice President Sales

Effective September 1, 2026, the EDAG Group will strengthen its sales organization. Florian Freund will take over as Executive Vice President Sales, managing the strategic direction of sales at the corporate group level. According to the engineering service provider, he will also further develop the collaboration between key customers, business segments, and international areas.

More than 15 years of international experience

According to the announcement, Freund brings more than 15 years of international experience in development, digitalization, and sales. Most recently, he served as Vice President Sales at the Bertrandt Group, where he was responsible for sales through a dedicated sales company.

Previously, Freund worked at the ZF Group, where he developed digital services and software-based business models, steering the transformation towards data-driven products and recurring revenue models.

Experience in Vehicle Development

Further career stations led Freund to Audi AG. There, he assumed leadership responsibilities in the development of electrified drive systems, among other things. According to the company, his previous activities thus include engineering, vehicle development, digitization, international sales control, and strategic business development.

His main workplace will be the EDAG location in Fulda in the future. From there, Freund is to steer the international sales organization. He reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer, Harald Keller.
